Tarocchi

The first tarot deck was commissioned by the Duke of Milan in the XIVth century,
hence the cinquedea sword handle, a dagger worn by Milanese noblemen during the Italian Renaissance.

The tarot deck is composed of 22 major arcana or cards,
represented here by symbol and number on the top disk.
The disk underneath indicates the direction of the card,
with black enamel meaning “reversed” and gold meaning “upright”.

Spin both disks so that card and direction meet under the sword handle and determine the answer to your question.
Remember, the round shape of this piece represents the cycles of life as they are envisioned in the tarot deck.
The fool – the first card and last card of the cycle - is numbered 0 as indicated on the side of the piece.
He represents the end of a journey and the beginning of a new one.
Life is made up of infinite phases and cycles. Anything is possible.
